BAC Water (Bacteriostatic Water, USP-grade base) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic aqueous diluent containing 0.9% (9 mg/mL) benzyl alcohol as an antimicrobial preservative. It is supplied as a research-grade reference diluent for precise reagent reconstitution.
Designed strictly for controlled laboratory settings, the bacteriostatic agent (Benzyl Alcohol) effectively inhibits microbial growth. This allows researchers to confidently perform multiple volume transfers from an active 10ml vial over a 28-day period, while keeping the remaining vials completely sealed and preserved to guarantee baseline sterility for future testing phases.
