Searching for 30 mL bacteriostatic water? If your laboratory needs 30 mL in total, a pack of three individually sealed 10 mL glass vials is another format to consider.
30 mL bac water: one vial or three 10 mL vials?
“30ml bac water” can describe either a specific container size or the total quantity a buyer needs. That distinction matters. A single 30 mL vial holds the full volume in one container. Our three-pack divides the same nominal total volume across three 10 mL glass vials.
If your purchasing specification requires a single 30 mL container, a three-pack does not meet that exact specification. If your requirement is 30 mL total in smaller containers, the three-pack may be a practical fit. Confirm the formulation, intended use and documentation against your laboratory requirements before choosing.
| What to compare | One 30 mL vial | Our 3 × 10 mL pack |
|---|---|---|
| Total nominal volume | 30 mL | 30 mL |
| Container count | One container | Three separate glass vials |
| Accessing the first vial | The only container enters use | Two other vials can remain sealed |
| Packaging material | Check the specific supplier’s listing | Type I borosilicate glass vial body |
| Best purchasing fit | A specification requiring one 30 mL container | A requirement for 30 mL total in smaller containers |
Why choose three individually sealed vials?
The main advantage is flexibility. A laboratory that works through smaller amounts can put one vial into use and keep the remaining two unopened until needed. Separate containers also make it easier to allocate stock across different work sessions or workstations.
This format may help avoid opening more inventory than a workflow needs at once. It does not extend the labeled expiry date, guarantee less waste or remove the need for appropriate handling. Follow the label and your laboratory’s procedures for storage, opening and disposal of each vial.

Glass vs. plastic bacteriostatic water vials
For buyers who prefer glass packaging, our product specifications identify Type I borosilicate glass vials with butyl rubber stoppers. The glass vial body provides a clear view of the contents and avoids using a plastic bottle body. The complete package still includes a stopper and closure; “glass vial” does not mean every packaging component is glass.
Neither glass nor plastic alone proves a product’s purity or suitability. Both packaging systems need to be assessed for the formulation, closure integrity and storage conditions. FDA’s work on glass containers also documents glass-specific quality considerations, including delamination under certain conditions. Material choice is one part of the quality picture—not a substitute for testing.
What about microplastics?
It would be misleading to assume that every plastic vial contains harmful levels of microplastics, or that a glass-packaged product is automatically particle-free. Those claims require product-specific evidence. We do not claim that these vials have been tested to be “microplastic-free.”
A more useful purchasing check is to review the product’s declared packaging, lot details and available test reports. Visit our COA reports page and match the report to the lot on your vial. A report supports the tests and sample identified in it; it does not establish results for tests that are not listed.
A value-focused way to buy 30 mL total
Compare the full delivered cost rather than the vial size alone. At the price checked on October 12, 2026, our 10 mL three-pack is $15.99: $5.33 per vial, or approximately $0.53 per mL, before shipping, tax or coupons.
The product page currently shows a 34% pack saving compared with buying the same quantity as 10 mL single vials, including their current quantity discount. This comparison includes current single-vial quantity savings and excludes shipping and additional coupons.

30 mL bacteriostatic water FAQs
Do you sell a single 30 mL vial?
No. Our current alternative is a pack of three 10 mL glass vials, totaling 30 mL. The product listing identifies the individual vial size and pack count.
Is three 10 mL vials the same as 30 mL?
It is the same total nominal volume: 10 + 10 + 10 = 30 mL. Packaging is different, and volume alone does not establish equivalence between products or suitability for a particular application.
Can I keep the other two vials sealed?
Yes. Each vial has its own closure, so accessing one does not require opening the other two. Follow the storage conditions and expiry information on the product label.
Are glass vials guaranteed to be microplastic-free?
No such guarantee is made for this product. Glass describes the vial body; a microplastic-free claim would require appropriate product-specific testing.
